CCSA Biodiversity in a Changing Climate Summit 2008

On Thursday 11th September the Conservation Council of SA (CCSA), the peak conservation body for SA, launched a draft report making a number of recommendations.

The launch of the CCSA Biodiversity Policy Review .pdf draft report (1.01 MB) was part of a Summit titled Biodiversity in a Changing Climate. This was the fourth of six such events hosted by CCSA to look holistically at environmental policy in SA and develop a blueprint for action.


Professor Hugh Possingham, Director of  The Ecology Centre, University of Queensland & member of the Wentworth Group  gave the Summit’s keynote address, which was followed by the presentation of CCSA’s draft report.

Panelists were:

  • South Australian Farmers Federation – Sharon Starick, Chair of the Natural Resources Committee
  • Business SA  - Martin Andrew, Senior Principal Consultant, URS Corp
  • Local Govt Assoc – Anita Crisp, Climate Change Strategy Coordinator
