A key component of the Mt Lofty Ranges Southern Emu-wren and Fleurieu Peninsula Swamps Recovery Program over the past two years has been to roll out an incentive program to assist landholders in implementing on ground activities to protect swamps and dry-heath vegetation.

Works supported through the program have included fencing and relocation of watering points to excluded stock from swamps and dry-heath vegetation enabling regeneration of vegetation and rehabilitation through environmental weed control using techniques that minimise any damage to the surrounding native vegetation.
